So there are some things you'll need before taking off for the airport. We recommend that you take photos of all your paperwork and Passport picture page on your phone in case it disappears, so you'll have access to important numbers to work on a replacement.

Passport requirements

You'll need at least 6 months left before your passport expires from the day you are to return home from your trip, or you'll need to renew your passport before we go. If you have not applied for one, usually your local post office carries applications and can provide an appointment to get your original passport. Give them a call to get started.

Visa requirements

If you are traveling on a US Passport through a Canadian or European gateway city to Israel, there are no regular visas necessary. (Unless your trip includes an excursion to Jordan. But we will let you know about getting a visa to Jordan if needed).

Covid requirements-please read all links

Newest update 6-12-22
all Covid restrictions have been lifted. No pre-flight Covid test required, no testing upon entry into Israel. No Vaccine required.

The only requirement as of now is the "Entry Statement."
24-48 hours before you fly (but not earlier), 1 member of each household must fill out this multi-page Entry Statement. Before starting gather all family passports, your itinerary, and my local Israeli phone number. Flight Form Content. Print the results and tuck into your passport, also have a digital version available on your phone.

Coming home to the U.S., all Covid testing has been eliminated!

Concerning down payments, refunds etc. in the event of changing entry requirements to Israel:
New Ruth Israel Covid Vaccination Statement 8-15-22, we understand that mandatory vaccination may influence your decision to travel. Israel is currently fully open to all Americans, regardless of their vax status. There is no testing or even masking currently required in Israel. If Israel's requirements officially change to require showing a vaccination status card or making an "I'm vaxxed" statement, we are able to (for this reason only) offer a refund of a down payment for those who are unvaccinated. This refund cannot include airline ticket(s) that may have been purchased on your behalf. That portion of your down payment will have to come from the airline (in the form of a flight credit usually).
