EDUCATE  //  INTRODUCE  //   HONOR   //  LOVE   //  HEAL
RETURNING TO THE ANCIENT RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN THE CHURCH AND ISRAEL
For Zion’s sake I will not hold My peace, And for Jerusalem’s sake I will not rest, Until her righteousness goes forth as brightness, And her salvation as a lamp that burns. --Isaiah 62:1

we are the Ruth Israel initiative

The Ruth Israel Initiative, Inc. exists to educate Christians on the Jewish roots of our faith through healing our understanding of ancient, historical, and modern Israel. We desire to see Christians deepen their relationship with the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob by connecting to the biblical geography and spiritual experiences that Jesus participated in when He was living in Israel. Through teaching, connecting, and introducing, we help individuals and traveling teams honor the Jewish People for in their role in the Kingdom of God.
Our mission is to invite Christians to deepen their understanding of God’s grand unfolding plan in the earth and their individual walks with the triune God by, after thoughtful spiritual and educational preparation, taking small teams to Israel to journey through the scripture on the geographic locations where events took place, and the space where God through Jesus first dwelt with man. After teams have been prepared at home in practicing hearing God for themselves and building a grid of understanding (through teachings or book preparation) the unique and long history of the Promised Land, we enjoy preparing spiritual experiences on site that involve all the senses and provide concrete connections from the Word on the page to a living atmosphere.

Our goals include
  • Encouraging Christians to learn about and celebrate the Biblical Feasts
  • Offering and organizing live weekend learning events about the Jewish Roots and History of our faith
  • Bringing joy and excitement back to the reading of Scripture through insights into some of the Hebrew words
  • Offering engaging and relationship-growth oriented Spiritual Journeys  & Unhurried Pilgrimages to Israel for congregations, individuals, and families.
  • Preparing and distributing resources toward on-line learning
  • Offering pastors partial-scholarships as funds are available through crowd sourcing donations.
The Gentiles shall see your [Zion's] righteousness, And all kings your glory. You shall be called by a new name, Which the mouth of the Lord will name. --Isaiah 62: 2

Indeed the Lord has proclaimed To the end of the world: “Say to the daughter of Zion, ‘Surely your salvation is coming; Behold, His reward is with Him, And His work before Him.’” --Isaiah 62:11

Robyn, Sue & Susie
We started as a group of like-minded individuals who became a team with a common goal of moving forward in God's agenda to see Israel and the Church becoming the One New Man Paul describes in Ephesians 2:14-16
And they [Gentiles] shall call them [Israel] The Holy People, The Redeemed of the Lord; And you [Zion] shall be called Sought Out, A City Not Forsaken. --Isaiah 62:12

Why Ruth

Our Name
Have you ever read the story of Ruth and Naomi? It is not only filled with family drama, a bitter mother-in-law and a great romance, but when examined as an allegory, can offer Christians a great model for relationship with Israel and the Jewish People who live near us.     MORE

Why The Olive Tree

Grafted-In
When the Bible talks about olive trees it is alluding to the nation and people of Israel.
Romans 9, 10 & 11 use the Olive Tree to represent Israel in an unusual way to the modern reader. What is all this wild and cultivated, and grafting, lopping off, and burning of branches?    MORE

Why push buttons

What is Zionism?
What is Zionism? Why does it stir such violent and wonderful emotion in people? Why would we use a word that is controversial the globe? How can we use the phrase Christian Zionism?  This term Zion shouldn't need an explanation, but it gets one here.    MORE
