Psalm 34:8 Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in him.
Our mission is two-fold:
The Ruth Israel Initiative, Inc. exists to invite Christians into deeper relationship with the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob and each other. We offer education, resources, and pilgrimages combined with rich Christian spiritual formation practices.
Before and when we travel together, as we become aware of and begin to understand God's beautiful unfolding story of humanity's redemption in the Earth, we get to experience how God loves and longs to deal with people. Particularly, when we watch the blessing and provision of God for such a tiny nation situated in such a harsh world climate. We connect pilgrims to the story of the Jewish roots of their faith as we travel through the geography of ancient, historical, and modern Israel. Through teaching, connecting, and introducing, we help traveling teams honor the Jewish People for in their role in the Kingdom of God. We integrate spiritual experiences on site that involve all the senses and provide concrete connections from the Word of God on the page to a colorful living atmosphere, that lives on in the heart and memory for a lifetime.
As we have aged as a community we have uncovered a second area of focus that is developing for Ruth Israel Initiative:
For 8 years, we have been providing thoughtful preparations for the cultural, spiritual, and physical journey that happens on a trip to Israel when we walk through the scripture on the geographic locations where events took place, and the space where God through Jesus first dwelt with man. We now want to provide similar, culturally appropriate spiritual experiences for our friends inside Israel. Our desire is to introduce and offer soul care development and spiritual formation practices to support what God is already doing in their lives, offering re-connections to ancient ways to interact with our loving God.

For Zion’s sake I will not hold My peace, And for Jerusalem’s sake I will not rest, Until her righteousness goes forth as brightness, And her salvation as a lamp that burns. --Isaiah 62:1
