New Ruth Israel Covid Vaccination Statement 8-15-22, we understand that mandatory vaccination may influence your decision to travel to a particular location. Israel is currently fully open to all Americans, regardless of their vax status. There is no testing or even masking currently required in Israel. If Israel's requirements officially change to require showing a vaccination status card or making an "I'm vaxxed" statement, we are able to (for this reason only) offer a refund of a down payment for those who are unvaccinated. This refund cannot include airline ticket that were purchased for those of you who purchased the original "Option A" or "B" below, however you can receive a flight credit for the full value of your flight and a refund of the difference in check.
Walking. Lots of walking. (Be able to cover at least 5 miles/day comfortably, with hills and stone stairs)
Learning. Lots of learning. Both biblical and historical.
The volume of information available to you while you are in Israel won't sink in unless you have a proper grid of understanding already formed with which to process all that we will experience, so the easy-to-read book Israel Basics by K.J. Frolander is included with your trip. And if you want more, buy Sandra Teplinsky's book Why Still Care About Israel? It will really fill out your foundation so that you can get the most out of your time in Israel. See the Resources Page for even further study. If you are not accustomed to journaling or "listening prayer" Seth Barnes' book Listening Prayer is another book you'll want to pick up to prepare your heart and skills for listening for God's voice as you interact together in the Holy Land. It is great to hone listening skills in a daily devotional.
Spiritual stretching and growth.
Holy Spirit interactions, questions and spiritual activations, formational exercises, trying out different forms of prayer on site at different locations throughout Israel. You'll have journaling time most evenings to record your interactions with the Lord and each other. Kim will lead the majority of these exercises from the Spiritual Journey Through Israel book you'll receive. Volunteers are welcome to jump in and lead as well.
